Both of these names embody the eternal nature of God. God has every intention of living with us forever. In fact, the very angels testify of the eternal nature of God and confess He lives for ever and ever. Because He lives forever, He made sure you would too. For that reason, He is called the Resurrection and the Life. Today, we stopped to read the 5th chapter in Book of Revelation. What a powerful and unique observation of Apostle Paul who began to weep at the loss of mankind in his unworthiness to open the book of his future and his blessings. The Apostle weep before the throne of God. As he wept, an Elder touched him and told him to weep not for the Lion of the Tribe of Judah was worthy to open the book. When he turned to see the Lion, he saw a lamb that looked like it was slain. What a mighty illustration of just how connected these two titles truly are. Take a moment to listen to today's message. The Names of Jesus "The Good Shepherd". What a powerful service! The names of Jesus are incredible and wonderful for building faith. Can there by anything more beautiful to say when we say the Lord is my Shepherd? Has He been a good Shepherd to you? It is important to note how good He really is. His goodness is expounded by His completed work on the cross. He died so that you might live. His victory is now your victory! And because He was made to be a "sheep" for us, He rose us all into a new life and a new pasture. Take a moment to hear His name expressed by the Good Shepherd and build up your faith in His name.

Our Father is so amazing. Can you believe He wants to have a close and personal relationship with you? Of all the ways God could approach us, He comes close as a Father. Greater still, He sends His Son to be our husband. Think about that expression for a moment. God sent His Son as a Groom. He is called the Bridegroom for a reason. Today, we stopped to see just how intimate God purposes to be with each of us. In fact, we stopped to investigate the 4th Chapter of the Book of St. John to see the intimate conversation Jesus had with the woman at the well.
